Nashville Septic System Design Services

If you’re buying a little further out of town and sewer is no longer accessible than congratulations because you’re probably on septic!  The septic process can seem a bit overwhelming if you’ve never dealt with septic before, but don’t sweat it we have got you covered.

For your project in Nashville, a septic system design will be the next step after the civil design, and will sometimes go hand in hand with the civil design. From LPP design to Conventional design, our team has you covered. Based in Nashville, our septic engineers work with TDEC, Williamson county and other entities on a regular basis and understand what they want and how they want it.

Warning! – if your development/lot does not have an approved septic plat that meets the commercial and/or residential structure you have in mind, please give our septic engineers and drain field installers in Nashville a heads up immediately.

Below are illustrations of typical septic systems we design in Nashville and see regularly.  While there are other types, this will give you an idea of the process.  Ultimately, the system to be used will be approved by the governing entity and will be based on your site’s topography and soil characteristics.

Conventional Septic System

A conventional septic system is comprised of 2 main parts. The solids tank and drain or drip field. The placement and location of the solids tank must allow for gravity flow to the drain field in Nashville in order for a conventional system to work properly.

Low Pressure Pipe Septic System

A Low Pressure Pipe (LPP) System differs from conventional because it adds another step in the process. LPP systems will have a lift station (also called a pump tank). It will follow the solids tank and will only pump treated wastewater to the drain field. The pump sitting in the bottom of the tank pumps the wastewater out of the tank and into the LPP system. In Nashville, LPP septic system designs are typically required when gravity flow from the solids tank to the drain field is not available due to site constraints.
